Best Gold Standard DVD
These DVD are extremely helpful. Although not comprehesive, he covers what you need to know for MCAT O-Chem in about 5 hours--PERFECT. O-chem is becoming less and less frequent on the MCAT and time spent studying it should reflect that. I think that this is the best of the DVD's because he focuses on the core of O-chem--electrostatics. For 5 hours these DVD's should not be passed up, expecially this one.

Extremely helpful in my MCAT prep
I recently took the MCAT in June and I found these DVDs to be very helpful. It was great to have these DVDs and to be able to learn at my own pace.
It had been three years since I had taken organic and the Gold Standard DVDs helped build the confidence I needed to tackle the Bio section.
Dr. Ferdinand also does a great job at explaining the nature of the exam and gives great insights on how you should go about studying for the MCAT.

Money Well Meant is Money Well Spent
Mister Ferdinand, a surgeon, makes short work of what can be a daunting and endless quagmire... Organic Chemistry. Stressing what you need to know to get into Medical School like he did and giving formal proofs and examples along with theory and bedside the truth about Organic Chemistry is out.
In an hour the subject, Organic Chemistry is put back in perspective one that solves even the most annoying of tests and problems therein.
Somehow the Doctor explains with his examples what took a year of class and study and yet the stuff that is important sticks like peanut-butter.
What I enjoyed most and that may be because I'm only a Klutz with this subject is the stressing of the facts to do well on what could be a most difficult exam and the revelation of what the MCAT can't ask you... nice.
There's always the fact you've had all the right opportunities to master Organic Chemistry and you don't need any pep talks or confidence so to you good luck on your exam though I'm sure you won't need it. For those of you that could use a shot in the arm there's an hour of the Doctor's time and it's well worth the investment.
Yours truly
