St. John in Exile
This is an absolutely fantastic production, faithful to scripture and emotionally hard-hitting. This wonderful adaptation of the Apostle John's days on the island of Patmos is perfect for all ages. Dean Jones' faithful and passionate live one-man show will leave you FULL of wonder and love for this brilliant and loving man of God.

Best Acting I have seen in a long time.
St John in Exile, a one man play, is timeless. I have watched it over and over, and I have given copies to at least 3 of my friends. It is a great witness, and when it is over you feel as if you have spent time with the Lord and his best friend.
I wish I could get the whole world to view this movie.
Thank you Mr. Jones, may the Lord Bless you.
Devoted Fan of this play.

My beloved
This video gives a wonderful narrative of the passion of Christ. Dean Jones depicts the life of St. John in exile with humor and imagination. His lightheartedness while teasing the audience and tricking the guards into reading the Gospels allows the viewer to warm up to this apostle. These warm feelings help us to identify with his misery during his retelling of the events leading up to the death of Christ, and allow we to share his joy while he describes Christ's resurrection.
I purchased this video as a teaching aid for my religious education class.

Phenomenal Performance
This is one of the best instances of storytelling that I've ever seen. It is inspiring on many levels; I saw about ten minutes of it in church and immediately ordered the DVD--probably the single most worthwhile investment in my movie library.
This is a live performance at Jack Hayford's church in Van Nuys, CA; now, with that said, understand that this is not a rinky-dick, shoestring performance (as evidenced by the fact that this is Dean Jones). Even so, I've usually had to beg people to watch it because describing it cannot do it justice: a 90 minute monologue, church production, live show...it sounds like wasted time in a box. Yet, despite being "made" to watch it, every single person has said they loved it and were glad I made them watch it. Lest this seem to be nothing more than a polite reaction, I have to add that almost all of them then immediately asked to borrow the movie to watch again on their own and/or to show to someone else.
Dean Jones is at his best in this performance; I've never seen anything like it. I recommend it highly, and if there were a way to give more than five stars, I would.

Wonderful
There should be a rating higher that 5 stars! This is a performance far above any ordinary one man show.
