Must for all fist time parents
Must buy for all fist time parents. Very explanatory and practical. Saved a lot of time and money rather than going to Lamaze classes. I have done a lot of research before buying this DVD and this is the BEST. It is truly Laugh and Learn. Highly Recommended.

Must have!
This DVD is a must have for anyone who is going through childbirth...your birthing class may not explain things with this much clarity and detail (I know my didn't). I learned a lot about breathing, and controlling your breath, and although I am not planning on using drugs through labor, I thought her section on medical interventions very useful.

Annoying but helpful
I'm going to chime in with most of the other reviews. I bought this in a panic as I realized I was due in 6 weeks and hadn't signed up for a class yet! (I was due in Feb... holidays, new year.. it ate up a lot of weeks!)I ended up taking a class too. So here's the pro's and con's of each:
DVD
1) I liked being able to stop the DVD when I couldn't take any more of Sheri's annoying mannerisms.
2) I felt much less like an idiot doing this in the privacy of my own living room than in a class with 30 other couples.
3) I did like the breathing techniques she used and it was what I followed thoughout induced (pitocin) all-natural labor.
CLASS
1) The class I took was at the hospital where I delivered, so I got more detailed info on what it was like where I was planning to be.
2) The woman who taught this class was much more entertaining and went into detail about breastfeeding for the first time, too.
3) I know this is specific to the course I took, but there were relaxation techniques (not breathing) that were helpful.

Really Corny but Lots of useful info.
Title about sums it up. If you know diddly squat about your wife being pregnant, worth the watch. Probably could find all the info on Wikipedia or something though. I felt it was worth it.
