Great Movies!
My daughter has been interested in these DVD's since she was three months old, they were the only thing on tv that would hold her attention for long periods of time. Everything else that was on the tube she could care less. I love how the vides teach them about colors, numbers and animals. My daughter is now two and knows all her body parts and all the names of most animals, she learned that through watching these tapes and then seeing them in real life. When we go to the zoo she tells me what each animal is. And now that she is older she is interested in the Little Einsteins series on Disney channel, but still when I put one of these DVD's in she absolutley loves it! Her favs are Baby Mozart and Neighborhood animals, I would recommend these to anyone with a baby.

LOVE, LOVE
My mom bought me the complete collection of DVD's form China and my daughter loves these! I don't like her to watch TV b/c it is so fast paced and even though I'm sceptic I still worry about the study that says TV may lead to ADHD b/c of the fast pace moving. These videos are simple and use a lot of fading between scenes so it doesn't shift from one image to the next so quickly. Plus, my daughter loves the colors! I have to admit it buys me some me time, but with a teething 4 months old that has colitis, I'll tae whatever me time I can get!

Wow!
I don't think that anyone can argue that the B.E. videos are fabulous.....I wish I could say as much for some of the 'reviews' from some of the 'not so fabulous' parents. It is very shocking to see this type of behavior on a baby registry/item website....It really takes the 'warm and fuzziness' out of it all.

Great DVDs.But why are they being sold for such high prices?
The DVDs are fantastic. However, save your money and buy the complete set from Costco for $120. People here have listed the USED sets for over $160? Come on guys..............

Great set; Missing 1st original DVD
I've viewed 8 of these titles with 2 kids. These were the first videos my kids enjoyed at an early age and my 3.5 year old still likes watching them. These are the best early childhood videos I have found from both an engaging and educational point of view.

This collection is missing the original "Baby Einstein" which introduces 6 languages and is one of the better videos for <12mos babies. This is the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars.

The older videos (Bach, Mozart) feature the creator's blonde-hair/blue-eyed daughters a bit too much and severely lack ethnic and gender diversity.

The middle videos (Shakespeare, Van Gogh) have extensive puppetry, better ethnic diversity, but still favor the daughters, women, and other girls. These are probably the favorites of my kids.

The newer videos (Neptune, Galieo) are produced by Disney and lose much of the original creativity and charm that made these videos great. They do have a balanced ethnic and gender diversity.
